Welcome Virgin Australia – Pictures

Virgin Blue re-branded its domestic and narrow-body international operation (excluding the Polynesian Blue operation that consists of just one aircraft) into Virgin Australia.

We have lots of information coming – including video of the Sydney press conference with Richard Branson and John Borghetti. In the meantime, here’s a few photos from today’s event. We’ll upload hundreds of photos to Facebook. Are you a ‘fan’ of our page yet?

There’s a comprehensive ‘summary post’ to follow.

  1. Nice job. With jetstar now charging customers to check in luggage as well as Qantas being plagued with maintenance/staff, no pets and union issues the skies are there for the taking. Soon, Virgin Australia will be affectionately known as “Australias favourite airline”, and if passenger experience is anything to go by, it will be sooner rather than later. I guess Qantas really made a big mistake in not promoting John Borghetti to CEO huh? Oh well, their loss is Virgins gain.
